Chanel Hydramax + Active & Hydra Beauty Serum

Some time ago I received a few Chanel samples in a beauty shop and decided to give them a try. I was supposed to use Hydramax + Active at day and Hydra Beauty Serum at night. The first thing that completely got my attention was the smell of the serum - a mix of fresh white flowers that completely blew me away. I tried the two products on for a few weeks until the samples lasted and unexpectedly they worked, leaving me completely astonished because it's quite rare finding a product that works on my troubled skin! I have a combo skin - it gets oily at the end of the day but if I use cleansers that are just the tiniest too harsh, it will get dry spots. It really drives me crazy, but I think I found a solution to my problems with Chanel - at least temporarily!

My skin literally glows a few seconds after I apply the moisturizers; it feels super soft and smooth as well. After some days that i started to try the samples, i had less red spots, impurities and imperfections, so I decided to buy the full size product and I spent.. uh, around €120? It was a present from my mom so I'm not really sure! Thats probably the highest I've ever spent on make-up/beauty! I think they're worth it, although I bet there you can find better products at the same price.

As for the consistency and colour, they're both white, but the serum is more liquid in comparison to the Hydramax + Active gel cream and they both apply beautifully. They take no time to absorb as well.

I'm definitely sticking with these until I find products that suit me best! What are your opinions? Have you ever tried Chanel beauty products?

H&M Beauty Set Giveaway

I'm sorry it took me so long to host another giveaway, but it snowed in the first weeks of February so I couldn't go out of my house and then I went to Dublin from the 11st to the 18th of the month, so I really haven't had much time! I came back last Saturday and then I was super busy with school - I still am - and only yesterday I found the time to go out and find something for a little giveaway. It's a very small one, but I hope you like it anyway!

The rules are very simple. Just fill out the Rafflecopter form to be entered :)
The giveaway is OPEN INTERNATIONALLY and it will close on MARCH 23RD.

Blue, silver, glitter! These nail polishes look gorgeous!

I hope you love peaches as I do ;)

DollyWink Long Mascara

Nobody knows how much I had been wanting this mascara until I got it a few weeks ago in my last swap! I was very excited to receive a DollyWink Long mascara, I've only heard good things about it and the brand in general.

It comes with a little flyer that shows you the best way to apply it, and I wish I could speak japanese so I could understand what it says!

I really like this mascara, its probably one of the best I've ever tried. The handle is comfy and the applicator is nice; it doesnt flake, it really lengthens your lashes while not being obvious (and I hate it when make-up is too obvious!).

Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek OR302 Apricot Macaron

As I told you in one of my last posts, the Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek blush was part of a swap I did with a girl who lives in Hong Kong. This was a custom purchase swap - this means I had the possibility to ask her to buy certain products for me, so I decided a few brands I wanted to try and I checked their websites. Majolica Majorca was probably the make-up brand I wanted to try the most because I've always been attracted by pretty packaging! When my little brother saw this blush, he said it looked like a macaron and I think he's right!

Look at the inside - isnt it the cutest blush you've ever seen?

Quality wise, as the name Apricot says, this blush comes in a peachy shade. It gives a natural effect on my light skin tone and I'm quite happy with it because I don't like unnatural cheeks.

I don't know exactly how much this product costs because as I told you I got it in a swap, but you can find it on Ebay at about $18. Which is not exactly the cheapest price ever, but Majolica Majorca is part of Shiseido anyway, so you have to expect it's a bit pricey.

Some mail love #4

After waiting for about 20 days and having a few issues with the post office, yesterday I finally got my swap with V., a girl from Hong Kong! This was the biggest swap I ever did, so I can't even tell you how excited I was when I got this parcel.

I'm sorry about the lighting of the photos, but I got this package in the evening and the sun was already down! I took those photos just after I got it, I didn't even rip off the plastic around the products because I wanted to show you how pretty they looked :D I've always been attracted by cute packaging and Japanese/Korean make-up brands are great in that!

This Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek blush in Apricot Macaron (OR302) .. no wait, I want to show you the inside of this product because it just looks too nice so I think I'll dedicate a post to it. Anyway it's such a pretty blush!

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes BR792. Ok, you can't really see that from the photos but the Skinfood palette below has almost the same eyeshadows from the Majolica Majorca palette! They're not exactly the same though. I love these two little palettes because the eyeshadows are neutrals (I'm a nude colours fan when it comes to make-up... come to think of it, I love nude colours not only for beauty products haha) but shimmery at the same time, so they're never boring. Another thing I like is that they have just the essential shades and they're so small you can always carry them with you in your bag. Much better than an enormous Naked palette in my opinion! I'll be travelling in about 10 days and I think the fact those palettes are so small makes them perfect!

Skinfood Sugar Bloom Shadow Box in #3 Cappuccino Bloom

Ok so this DollyWink Long mascara is probably the best item from this swap, and one of the best mascaras I've ever tried as well. It makes my lashes look longer, it's not obvious and it doesn't flake, NEVER. I just love it! (plus, I think Tsubasa Masuwaka who is the testimonial for this product is gorgeous)

Majolica Majorca Rouge Majex PK102. Just a regular light pink, very shimmery lipgloss.

An item I had totally forgot about when I got the package! It's Skinfood Peach Sake toner. It comes in a glass bottle so when I handle it I always fear I might drop it and break it! I haven't tried it yet, but I can tell you it has a nice smell.. Peach is my favourite fruit :)

These are a few extras V. included in the package :) I was so pleased to get them, especially the Tonymoly Petite Bunny Glossy Bar lipgloss in #03 Apple, because I had got the #06 Orange  in a previous swap with another girl and I had just loved it! I was just thinking "I have to ask someone to get me another Tonymoly lipgloss" when I received this.. it was such a lovely surprise! It's probably one of the lip products I love the most.

Overall this was such a great swap! I can't wait to try out all the products :)
