Hana Aurora Glossy Violet - sponsored by Glow & Glamour

About a month ago I received the Hana Aurora Glossy Violet lenses from Glow & Glamour together with 3/4 other lenses as I told you in this post and today I'm finally reviewing them!

Although they have a very big diameter and are a bit tricky to put on, they are really comfortable. I couldn't even feel them!
I love lenses without thick black rims because they look way more natural. In fact, all the Hana Aurora Glossy Violet do is add a bit of violet to my iris and a bit of enlargement, and that's all. They're not obvious, and I like that in a lens. These are one of the few lenses that don't do the "frog eye" look on me! I am glad I got these and although they're not from a brand as popular as GEO, I do recommend them!

Tonymoly Petite Bunny Glossy Bar

 photo tonymoly_zps11313c71.png
Ever since I've received one in a swap, I've been in love with Tonymoly Petite Bunny Glossy Bars. First of all, their packaging - how cute is that? Each shade -and there are 7 of them- has got a bunny shaped cap with a cute little face on it. That was the main reason I bought it, and I didn't expect much by the product itself - I just wanted it because it looked so nice! But then I tried it and I discovered that the texture is amazingly moisturizing. The gloss also leaves a natural but very bright tone on your lips. I have been looking for a product like this for ages! Moreover, they're scented. It's not a strong scent, but it's pleasant :) I was the happiest person in the world when I got the second one as a surprise extra in a swap! I am really determined to get them all. :)

GEO Blue Twin Circle Lenses

About a month ago I received a pair of GEO Blue Twin circle lens from Lens Circle, and I'm so sorry to had them waiting for so long! Anyway I'm ready to review the lenses now! The lenses came in a very trashy leopard print pouch ;) not exactly my style but I'll find a use for it anyway. Lens Circle also included a lens care instruction card, which I think is very handy for people who are trying circle lenses for the first time!
The diameter of the Blue Twin lenses is not huge, it's approximately as big as my iris; that makes it look more natural. These lenses would look very nice on me if they weren't so curved! The high base curve makes the obnoxious "frog eye" effect as many other lenses do on me, unfortunately. Maybe they would fit almond-shaped eyes better. Comfort wise, they're pretty average; the fact that they're not very big makes them easier to wear. Design-wise, they're nothing special; those who are not looking for eye enlargement in a lens could be ok with this lens.

Some Mail Love #6

Photobucket

After waiting so long -the Italian mail is so slow-, on Monday I finally got the two swaps I was waiting! One was from Rosie who lives in the US. I really can't thank her enough. She's so awesome! She contacted me about a month ago on MakeUpAlley for a lipstick I'd listed there and I picked a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo from her list (I'm going to review that in a different post!). In the package she also included a few samples that I'm really looking forward to try and two rings!! Isn't she amazing?

The other swap was from Adrienne from The Sunday Girl. I've been reading her blog for a while now and I was so happy to get the chance to do a swap with her :) She got me 4 Revlon Lip Butters, which I've been wanting to try for such a long time! Swapping for them or getting them online was the only way I could get them, because of course they're not sold here in Italy! I got Macaroon, Raspberry Pie, Berry Smoothie and Peach Parfait. I'm in love with them!

ELF Mineral Lipstick in Rich Raspberry

Photobucket

On March 23d I ordered a few things from ELF out of boredom and received them after about a week. It was my very first purchase from their website and I ordered just a few products to test it out. The one I've probably liked the most was the Mineral lipstick in Rich Raspberry. I wasn't expecting much from ELF since the prices are so low, but this lipstick definitely changed my opinion!

Photobucket

First of all, I paid €4 for it. The colour is a deep red and I like to pat it on my lips with my fingers rather than applying it straight from the bullet; I think it looks more natural. It's very buildable though, so you can choose how intense you want the colour to be by appling more than one layer. This lipstick gives a matte effect without being too stiff, in fact the application is very easy. It's actually a very pretty lipstick for its price. I'll definitely include another lipstick from this range in my next ELF haul!

Geo Princess Mimi WMM-305

Photobucket

After waiting more than a month (damn custom house!), I finally got my Geo Princess Mimi WMM-305 in Grey from GeoColouredLenses.com. They packed everything with utmost care and also included a free lens case. GeoColouredLenses offers free standard international shipping on all orders of 1-5 pairs of lenses, and free express international shipping on all orders of 6 pairs and above. Isn't that cool? The lenses that I've got were with no prescription power, but of course they sell lenses with grades.

I was very curious to try these lenses because I'd heard so many good things about them! The Princess Mimi series is pretty famous amongst bloggers and youtubers.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Photobucket

Liz Earle products are widely popular amongst make-up gurus, bloggers and youtubers. I was really happy to get the chance to try their famous Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and I've been using it every day for the past 2 weeks. I was impressed with the chicness of the packaging - it definitely felt high end and expensive to me! Plus, that minty shade of green is probably the biggest trend for Spring and I just love it, haha! The Hot Cloth Cleanser comes in a handy mint green plastic pouch with two white muslin cloths as well.

Photobucket

Photobucket

You want to put the cloth in a basin filled with hot water; meanwhile you apply one or 2 pumps of the cleanser on your face. The cleanser is white, very dense and has a minty scent, in fact it reminds me of toothpaste haha ;) anyway once you've rubbed the product all over your face and eyelids too, you're supposed to wash it away using the cloth. It works really well and removes all the make-up and impurities. The only thing I'm not completely happy with are the cloths! Especially if you use a lot of make-up, they get very dirty. Since they're only 2, either you wash them every single day or you use them for 2 consecutive days. Which is not that hygienical. I don't think it's very practical, and that is probably the only con about this product. I've been loving it so far though and I'm very interested in trying other products from Liz Earle! Why they don't sell them here in Italy? (Why don't they ever sell anything slightly nice here??)

You can purchase the Hot Cloth Cleanser on Liz Earle website for £14.25.

Ansley Show Hot Dual Volume Mascara

I got this Ansley Hot Dual Volume mascara about a month ago from Glow & Glamour but I only had the time to properly test it just in the past few days! Let's have a look at it :)

Photobucket

The little box looks very nice. I'm convinced black packaging always makes make-up look more expensive haha! The actual packaging of the mascara is quite chunky and a bit too big. It's very simple and not that practical - I never know which is the side of the mascara and which of the primer!

Photobucket

I've always been a bit skeptical about mascaras like this, I mean with primers. I found out they don't work much on me, this one particularly. If you apply it before the actual mascara, you get exactly the same effect as not applying it!
This product has a big applicator that you have to use carefully if you want to put your mascara properly. If you're a bit skilled, you can definitely make this mascara work and make your lashes look way longer.

Lassie 3 Tone Blue - sponsored by Glow & Glamour

Last month I got a pair of Lassie 3 Tone Blue from Glow&Glamour.
They didn't come in little jars but in a blister, and opening it is much easier than opening that awful metal cap. At least it didn't chip my nail polish or hurt my fingertips!

Glossybox March 2012

I received my last Glossybox ever the day I was leaving for Greece, so I opened it a week later! This was my very last one for reasons I already explained in my Glossybox February post.

Photobucket

Photobucket

This box was definitely better than the previous one. I was very very happy to find a China Glaze No-Chip Top Coat in this box, first because China Glaze is almost impossible to get in Italy and second because I really needed a good top coat! I still haven't tried this yet because I'm not wearing nail varnish currently, so I look forward to!

Photobucket

Next I got a sample of Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. It was nice to get this sample because Caudalie is known to be a very good skincare brand I've never tried any of their products before mainly for their price, so getting a tester is great! I've been using this instead of my Chanel  Hydramax + Active moisturizer for the past two days. I'll let you know what I think about it!

Photobucket

These two Maria Galland samples are so so so small! I mean, I understand they're just samples, but omg there's product enough for like 2 uses? I heard good things about this brand, my old beautician used to use Maria Galland products. However, the two I got are a Cleansing Foam and a Silky Soft Lotion.

Photobucket

Then I got a Pevonia Age-Defying Marine Concentrate. Completely useless since I'm only 18 and thank god I still have a few years before I have to start worrying about wrinkles! My mom will surely appreciate this though!

Photobucket

The last product I saw in my Glossybox was the one I liked the most. I had seen it in other girls' boxes and when I didn't find it in mine I felt so unlucky! I saw this the second time I re-opened the box just to have a look at the products again. What am I talking about? The little Isadora lipstick in Rare Berry! It's just lovely! I've been wearing it very often since I got it, it's a perfect go-to shade. in the bullet it looks like a boring tone of brown, on the lips it looks much more interesting ;) it's very creamy and moisturizing as well. Last time I was wearing it, I ate an ice-cream and after it was still there. I think it's a great lipstick and although I've never seen this brand anywhere I really want to try more of theirs!

Photobucket

The very last thing I got was this nail file. I'm not an expert on nail files - I generally use a metallic one and I bet it's very bad for nails. What do you suggest?

Photobucket

So, as I said this was my last Glossybox ever; I already unsubscribed. Why? I was very disappointed with the products I found in the February one and when I realize I had just spent €14 on them, I decided I was never going to again. Moreover, the courier service was *so* bad, they would always come in the morning when there's no one at home because we're all either working or at school and when I'd call the customer service to get sent my package again, nobody would answer.. So I'd have to wait 3-4 days to get my Glossybox. I just don't think all this is worth it. What's your experience with services like Glossybox?

GEO Angel Green - sponsored by EyecandyLens

About a month ago I received a pair of GEO Angel Green circle lenses from EyecandyLens. I was so excited to get these because GEO is probably the most popular circle lens brand! :) By the way, the lenses came in a pretty black pouch with stars on it ♥

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes palette

Photobucket

As many other ones, this Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes BR792 eyeshadow quad is part of the big swap I did earlier this year with a girl from Korea. This one was probably the item I wanted the most and it didn't disappoint me :)

Photobucket

First of all, the packaging. I don't think I' ever choose this product if it didn't look so nice! As everything from Majolica Majorca, it looks lovely. One thing I love about this product is that is so handy - it's so small it can be easily carried around in your bag.

Photobucket

The four eyeshadow are all neutrals. They're densely packed with glitter, especially the white one! I've never owned such a sparkly eyeshadow! Since they're so glittery, they're perfect for night use, which is great for me as I mainly wear make-up only when I go out at night. All the shades are quite pigmented and quite long lasting - although, again, I've worn these only at night so for three or four hours.

Photobucket

As for every Majolica Majorca product I own, I'm very happy with this and although it's a bit pricey (about €20) I do recommend this (:

Dolly Eye Cristal.i Violet - sponsored by Uniqso

It's been almost a month since I received this pair of lenses from Uniqso and I'm sorry for the delay, but I've had so many things going on lately! I've also been out of town for the last week so please bear with me :)
Sorry if my last post was a circle  lens review too but I really have to post this now. My next post will probably be a Glossybox review though!

Photobucket

I actually got two pair of lenses from them, but today I'll be reviewing the Dolly Eye Cristal.i Violet. They came in this adorable little box with cute bears, I love it so much!
